Pick-Up Art / Julia Bidermann
For its first exhibition, Pick-Up Art explores the meaning and emotional resonance of the objects we choose to surround ourselves with. Curator Julia Bidermann, who has always been fascinated by objects, their materials, and the stories they hold, brings together three contemporary French ceramists. The exhibition delves into the symbolism of everyday objects through three distinct and powerful aesthetic approaches. The vases and objects on display draw inspiration from universal symbols and myths. Diane Alexandre produced specially for this show a series of vessels inspired by all her favorites mythological creatures. The objects are produced in limited editions of 8 + 2 artist proofs.
